The statement "This meeting of the _____ Chapters of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is now in session" is a formal way to open a meeting, and it is traditionally the responsibility of the president to lead this part of the meeting. The president serves as the leader of the group, ensuring that meetings run smoothly and efficiently. By stating this opening line, the president signals that the meeting is officially beginning, which helps to establish order and sets the tone for the proceedings.

The other roles, such as the secretary and treasurer, have specific duties related to record-keeping and financial management, respectively, while the advisor provides guidance and support but does not typically take on the role of leading meetings. The emphasis on the president in this context underscores the importance of leadership within the organization.
